my_window_seatIn the home stretch on the evil 400 piece order. Looks like I'll actually have it finished by Monday. Okay, maybe end of day Monday, but still.
All other stuff on the list (taxes, financial aid apps, website, etc.) has been suspended for the last 4 days - been at the paints to the exclusion of all else, except shifts at the video store.
In just a couple days, the madness of a new order will begin all over again.
Fuck.
Did manage to print out all the quizzes for my DL class, and did my studying while at the video store - there's nothing quite like multi-tasking. Should be able to input all of those - well ahead of schedule - and start on the bulletin board assignments - which look like everything I hate about homework, but at least they aren't all that horrible. Could be worse. Could be chemistry or algebra or something equally horrid.
Will resume the retail table at the Club again this Thursday, but how long it continues is a matter of speculation at this point. Kimmy is down to the last few decorated boxes, and neither of us has anymore or any idea where to get anymore - and seeing as how those and the jewelry were the top sellers... I don't know. I'm going to have to ponder this - and the pros and cons of the whole thing - for a bit. See if I will still have the time to invest in it properly, and if it's really the best use of my time, considering the actual financial returns, which are - a giggle, at best. Maybe the more important aspect to consider is the social aspect. It was sorta neat to see the same faces, now with names and histories attached, week to week. I just wish it weren't so bloody over-complicated to set up and break down every night - and I could do with a week where there weren't the special unexpected 'surprises' - sharing space with completely unannounced and unprepared people, blown fuses, Executive Decisions regarding lighting, etc. If it were a little more straight-forward and a LOT less effort-intensive - well, then it would be something completely different, I guess. Bah.
I've been up until dawn every night this week. I think I'm getting pretty loopy by now.
