In Which I Am Blessed By Stupidity

Holy crap.

Due to taking a week off for a vacation and then a subsequent partial week for the plaaaaague - I'm financially in the hole.
Because of this, I was only able to pay half of my rent when I gave my last month's notice, about which the landlord didn't seem overly concerned as long as I got it in by the end of the month.

I just got my check back in the mail, with a letter explaining that, since May of last year, I've been running a credit on my account - because I apparently paid my rent *twice* that month.

*headdesk*

Note that I am not complaining - I'm just a little surprised that, for once, my stupidity and now-near-conclusive-oncoming-senility worked in my favor for a change.

I'm still in the hole, but it just got a bit shallower.

Gotta love those serendipitous moments. Way better than the Murphy's Law ones. Life seems to be either one or the other. Glad this was a good one for ya :)
