Hi, J -

Just to recap our discussion today - I regret that due to illness, I won't be able to make the interview session tomorrow, and I appreciate your keeping me in mind for any spots that aren't filled during that time.

Per our discussion last week by e-mail - I have been offered at artist residency with _________ for July 6th through July 30th. This position is for two days a week from 2-4pm, and ___________ is completely flexible as to what days (i.e. Mon/Tue, Mon/Wed, Tue/Thur, etc).

Should you have positions remaining that will coincide with this schedule, please do let me know and I will be happy to work out some alternate form of interview with you.

So, yeah - no driving for me.

The biggest things for me to accomplish today are - washing the dishes, and giving notice on my apartment.

Dishes - not that big a deal, but as tired as I am after doing them, a clear indication that a 10 hour drive? Yeah, no - would have been a bad idea.

Giving notice - much scarier. Especially as I don't currently have the $$ to cover my rent.
I've had a couple of late rent payments in my life before - no more than can be counted on the fingers of one hand, but they've always bothered me -
but they haven't been when I was giving notice.

While living here, while I was in school, I was paying my rent in large chunks, sometimes as much as 6 months in advance.
Let's hope that history works in my favor right now.

So - off to the landlord's and immediately back home to bed.

EDIT: And yeah, now that the email's already been sent, I notice the stupid typo in the subject line - should have read "Openings after interviews are completed." Fuck me. FUCK
