So so so so sleepy....!

Took the train to Santa Fe today with Neighbor Rob - last day of the inaugural free train rides since the grand opening of the new rail line - and went to museum, gallery and walked the plaza in the blustery wind and snow.  Was LOADS of fun.  Despite being packed to standing room only, we got seats on both the ride up and the ride back, and I officially love trains.  LOVE them.  And being able to look at art close close up - close enough to see brush strokes and identify the color palette of the minutest details - also love.  And movie costumes - special exhibit at the museum; amazing fabrics and trims and shapes and - yeah.  And snow.

Lovely day.

So sleepy!

Today was the last free train day, but museums will continue to waive admissions fees for the next three months if you take the train. Good times. :)

I do!

I just recovered i think just about everything from your crashed memory card!

I quickly paged through all the 450 photos to make sure none of them look corrupted.

I'm going to burn them to 2 cd's so [livejournal.com profile] goddessironica can have the ones she wanted, or so you have a backup whatever works best for you.

also got some mp3 ringtones and perhaps a small movie file, but i think it may be corrupt.

correction, looks like there are also 36 little quicktime movies, i will let you discover if they are intact or corrupt.

Ahhhh. The photos are my primary concern, the movies are Nancy's. Although getting both is optimal of course, recovery of anything at all is wonderful.

You do, indeed, rock. Basalt, igneous, any all all kinds. :)

I owe you so stupendously!

From what I can read of the file allocation table i think I got it all, although the 80k avi wont play on my pc, and I think that was where some of the more nasty stuck bytes were.

we shall have to come up with some sort of time/place to make the drop.

I let N. know the good news! I cheered her even through severe road fatigue.

Just don't take me for granite! ;-D

I don't know how all this works honestly, but it seems strange that there would be *any* kind of avi file larger than any of the others, just because all of the files should be the same size - the video automatically times out. Bah. I am not to be knowing. Whatever turns out will be a blessing nonetheless.

Granite. That was the trifecta key, you know.
YAHTZEE!

Don't know how to repay you; presently in a recession of actually quite damaging proportions - the holiday break in employment has hit me in ways I can't even process without hyperventilating. Will have to think of something - let me know if you have ideas.

Thank you.
Thank you!

worry not about repayment, the only physical cost i have is the cd's i burned it to ($0.15 or something each)

brightening yours and [livejournal.com profile] sinaesthesia's day is worth it. I don't really believe in any such organized belief such as karma, But mankind has the ability to effect a balance, and what comes around can go around.

There weren't very many costumes, but that meant there was more time to just soak it all in. And the pretty, pretty pictures.....!
