Got this in my e-mail today; of interest to local community; re-post at will and as you like, yadda yadda.  :-)

My Name is Daniel Garcia and I work with Working Classroom. We are a non-profit arts organization. I have an opportunity that I feel would be great for our community. In your newest production we are working closely with a production company in New York called TectonicTheater Project.

    TectonicTheater Project is an award-winning company whose plays – including The Laramie Project, The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde and 33 Variations - have been performed around the world. The company is dedicated to developing innovative works that explore theatrical language and form, fostering an artistic dialogue with our audiences on the social, political and human issues that effect us all.

    We are planning on having one of the writers of The Laramie Project here in town as our guest.  While Leigh Fondakowsk is here she offered to have a screening of the Emmy Award nominated HBO drama with a Q&A for LGBT community as well as folks who may be interested, This will take place on July 28 at the NorthForth Arts Center at  6:00 p.m. with a possible workshops the following day. If anyone is not aware of the Laramie Project, it is the story of Matthew Shepard who was about two months short of his twenty-second birth when he was robbed, beaten, tied to a fence post and left to die in a rural area of Wyoming. Laramie is the small town in which his killers and himself  lived. This crime was one of the most publicized hate crimes in history. It is a story of how the town was changed forever and the people who lived in it would never be the same.
