I'll bet it's not the Jeebus Freaks who're causing Six Apart's balls to shrivel and crawl back up with this new voluntary self-censorship policy.
I'm pretty sure those folks are actually too busy home-schooling their kids into accepting social retardation and marriage/pregnancy at a young age as not only valid but THE only acceptable lifestyle choice -

Point being, I'll bet they're actually watching their damn kids.
Poor kids.

It's the "I'm too busy to take care of my own kids, so gosh darn it, we need to baby-safe the entire fucking planet to make up for my inability to do my own fucking job" -

And yes, I realize that single moms have it rough.
And I don't think they're a part of this torches-and-pinafores brigade, either.
I think they're too busy keeping food coming into the house to be a part of this vocal minority of MAKE THE WORLD SAFE FOR MY PWECIOUS BAAAYYYBEEEEEESS!

Career-driven soccer moms?  With a husband, two-car garage, two-income household and just enough free time to get all over everyone's shit because the big, bad world offends you and shouldn't be a part of you or your spawn's sheltered little Habitrail of an existence?

Of course I'm generalizing. While stereotypes do exist for a reason, that's all they are - broad generalizations of type that don't take individuals into account. I don't hate all soccer moms - I've taught kids from the 'burbs with really cool parents who weren't at all over-protective. And I don't think every single mom is a saint - my mom was an narcissistic and sociopathically neglectful 'parent' and no amount of excuses will convince me to allow her into the slack I'll cut for other women doing the very best they can with what they've got.

It's a broad brush I wield sometimes. Deal with it or don't.

I just like poking fun, and in my journal, I get to. And that's the way it's going to stay. ::grins, fangs sparkle::
