I'm jealous now. I miss having cats, and want one. Or two. Or ten. Or as many as will put up with me. There's a cat who lives somewhere nearby and wanders by my house sometimes, who I seem to have befriended, but I want to have a cat myself, like I always did growing up.

Ask me at just the right time - like, right after Spooky's decided to puke up his meal for the second time that day, or when Austin has made the 14th attempt to destroy the screen door that hour - and I will give you one of mine. Stuffed and mounted. Or made into slippers, or oven mitts - your choice.

I LOOOOOVE Austin....but you knew that already! How did he get in the yard? I 'spose that he could not hop over the fence even if he wanted to though!

I let him go out in the yard for a few minutes every few days, and hang out there to watch him in case he tries to go over the fence. And even then, if he does - all I have to do is make sure I have some canned cat food inside - if I go outside with a plate of food and tap the fork on the side of the plate - hey, presto - look, it's a cat! :)
