Long day; was heading on my way to bed but - few more minutes and I really am off.  Really.  I mean it.

Just remembered something I saw tonight that was really cool, though.  On the way to the car after rehearsal, I saw a guy in the parking lot outside a chinese restaurant - fire dancing.  He had lit poi balls, and for apparently no other reason than he just felt like doing it, he was out there in the dark, streaking and whirling away.

Not exactly sure why, but I thought of  broken_bokken  - I think you would have appreciated the incongruity for what it was as much as I did.

I do love living near a University.  No matter how crap the school may be, it just seems like the air of learning and conflict and growth and - youth - it's just a place where unintended magic has a place to happen.  Something about a college - it just does that.

Also, I notice I smile a great deal more than I have in a long time.  If this keeps up, I think my face might stick this way.

Well, from experience, that gets you the wheatpaste, street art and hot college chicks, but you lack the foot-in to actually get to know anyone responsible for those things. I suppose that could owe to me sucking at just walking up to strangers and conversing without context. Which probably IS just me, considering I had to become an international druglord to have enough conversational fodder to get dates.
