Talked to Charlie this afternoon. He sounded - tired, but - well, like Charlie. I even got him to laugh, so I think he's going to be fine.

Called all the other kids, just to let them know, so they wouldn't be worried over the weekend, and just in case they needed to ask questions or anything. Also so that their parents wouldn't be worried. It was a pretty traumatic experience for a few of the kids. One of them, Garrett, told me before he left that he'd seen a little girl he went to school with go into a seizure and die right in front of him - I really didn't want him to be worried over the weekend, and who knows what else any of the other kids might have gone through before, what they might be thinking? Anyway, all systems go. There's that.

There's - other stuff. I think I need - I don't know what to say. I just don't. I just -

Wow. The whole "Death is just a natural part of life" speech seems like such utter bullshit at times like those, doesn't it? Well... hmmm. It is invaluable to have someone love you just about then. I hope all those kids do.
