Jan. 28th, 2007 03:51 amHello, old friend - found you again.
Skalpel - Nervy Polish electronic jazz DJ duo. Sweet sampling with swooping overtones, tingly traps and a tight, thumpy underbelly. Pocałunki dla ciebie, chłopcy!
And hello, new friends - a trio. Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, interspersed with AB Ovo, and chased with- er, things in a file labeled "Waterson, McCarthy Etc." Long draughts of Doom JazzTM, reinterpreted melodic [celtic?] folk, and - I'm sorry, but the metaphorical well has run dry for the evening. [Insert narcotic infusions of sound here]
My mood has been all over the charts this evening. Reading a play about the Holocaust along with all the other homework likely didn't help.
Let's hear it for the saving power of music.
