Jan. 23rd, 2007 12:40 amSo. Am down to 12 credits now. Lightest class load I've had in a long time. Intensive classes though, so the actual workload is comparable if not greater than previous semesters. But not as bad as it would have been at 18 credits. That was mostly just bet-hedging in case something got cancelled, but I was also rather looking forward to the Lit class and the additional playwriting class. I'm disappointed, but it just wasn't in any way feasible. Not with all the extracurricular to factor in. But look at me with the trying to be practical. Go, me.
So - am down to:
Writing for Youth
Theories of Theatre (theme: 'Dangerous Theatre' - ooga booga)
Outreach Company, as Tour Manager
EDIT - Almost forgot - Stage Management
Plus Saturdays, teaching. And TA'ing for Anna's class. And the graphics gig at OFFCenter. And Theatre in the Making. And Props - Mastering? Whatever.
Doesn't seem like all that much. Fits into just a few sentences. Portable chaos. Neat.
Anyway, got flyers to proof and print, envelopes to pick up and stuff, e-mails to send, calls to make, notes to type, layouts to do, papers to write, appointments to set -
Tomorrow. Right now, time to try to get some sleep.
Dunno if you're still reading this Nikki, but I'm really going to try to arrange things to make some Mommy-time with you guys soon. Love and miss you lots.

Date: 2007-01-23 10:44 am (UTC)I don't know what I'm trying to get at here. Jealous, yes, but glad you are working night and day on bettering yourself. I really can think of no better way to fill disproportionate waking hours (hope you aren't staring at your ceiling)
Good luck on carrying the load you've strapped on.

Date: 2007-01-24 07:20 am (UTC)Are you the person who is thanked for proofreading in the back of the book that I just read? It was one you lent me, the vulture book, and I know that is not its name, but I cant remember the real name, even though I liked it a hell of alot.

And again - thanks!
Oh, and I just got back the copy of his first book from Marsh - I'll loan it to you. Way different thematically from the one you just read, and a little rough around the edges (it was his first, after all) - but some really intense beauty in it. Anyway, I'll bring it next time.
Love you!
