I'm curious -

What would you do if someone you didn't like or respect - with whom you want no contact with at all - sent you a money order, at a period in time that you could really, really use it?

I already know what I'm going to do, although I'm not really happy about it.

I'm just curious what you would do.

If it was a check, I would probably not cash it, but being a money order, they have no idea what you decide to do with it. Since it is already paid for, it makes it more anonymous. Spend it BABY!

considering who I am guessing that it is, it does not matter what you do, whether you cash it or not, she knows she gave it to you, the money is already out of her pocket, what you do about it will not lessen the feeling she has of having done something to make reparations...I think that you DO need it, you cannot really return it, and to be honest, when she should have been helping and supporting you, she was not...I would use it.
