Brought to my attention by [livejournal.com profile] takhisis, consort-in-coolness to [livejournal.com profile] flemco.

I give you:

[livejournal.com profile] cadhla's Commandments of Coyote

[NOTE: Yes, that's Coyote - who does not give commandments, but will make you wish he did after you've read these...]

And [livejournal.com profile] cadhla welcomes the spreading of this new gospel, as witnessed by her response to someone else requesting linkage:

"Go to with your mad ganking self. I do not bogart cool."

In other news - the bread experiment is nearly completed. Observations through the little baking window suggest that perhaps my decision to adhere to the 2 tsp yeast increment in the recipe rather than just going all crazy and throwing in the whole 2-1/2 tsp packet may have proved an unwise second-guessing -

Live and learn. Worst case scenario, I have a fragrant door stop.

But damn, at least it smells righteous good.

EDIT: The experiment was a failure. Sniff. It smells good, and it's slicable - but it's as dense as a Freshman Composition course and as damp as a poet's handshake. Ach, well. New recipes still await my eager experimentation...

Once it cools, try toasting it. Slice it very thin.

Or make breadcrumbs, which you can use for all sorts of stuff like meatballs or dumplings.

Oh, it will definately be eaten - just not recreated. I think the thin toast suggestion - with strawberry preserves - will be just the ticket. Yum!

Meatballs - oh, the yum - but I already have dried bread-ends saved for this purpose. :)
