I have earned both a much-deserved spanking and some recognition of achievement -

I just finished a lengthy assignment for poetry class due tomorrow that I didn't think I would be able to get done in time, after having put it off to the last minute.

Good CHRIST, I don't want to make that a habit, because it's exhausting to perform like that, under the pressure of a deadline that I only heightened due to poor time management and general slovenliness.

But damn, it sure feels good to have it done.
