Tropical, even

Huh.

I was apparently so warm last night that, in my sleep, I took off not just my socks (not an uncommon occurrence) - but my sweatshirt as well.  Something that does not happen often - or in my sleep.

Thank you central heating!

Now let's hope that the utility department in our area doesn't run out of gas - something my roommate heard is a possibility last night on the news.  :O  :O  :O
The insulation in this place is, to all intents and purposes, non-existent - wish us luck!

(no subject)

Since about the only time we get any time off is when the bus is down and the only time that happens is when it's in the shop unexpectedly or the schools are closed - I'm taking an extra day off today.  Should have done it yesterday as well - schools were closed of course, as they are today - but I went in anyway.  I don't know what I thought I was going to prove or who might be impressed - but mainly didn't want to give up any more vacation hours, as I would like to take a reasonable vacation during the one and only week we have the option to do so this year (end of May/June).

Got to work yesterday and checked my vacation balance - and I have more than enough, or will do by the time May rolls around.  More than I'll even be allowed to take anyway.

So the heck with it.
Staying in with a book and the cats.
